5 Cool Accessories That Will Make Your BMW Unique

Have you just purchased a BMW and want to make a few little adjustments, or add something not mentioned in the optional packages? BMW has an expansive accessories store that lets you customize and alter your model in almost every way, from performance to exterior and comfort. Here are a few examples of the ways you can accessorize a modern BMW vehicle.

LED Door Light Projector

This snazzy light attaches to the bottom inside of your vehicle’s doors. As long as they’re open, it shines a light that looks like various designs of your choice, including the BMW logo. The bright circle of light comes in several sizes and easily illuminates the ground if you drop your keys or other items, and it can warn you if you parked next to a puddle.

GoPro Camera Holder

BMW’s M-Series consists of small cars, sedans, and SUVs that are all right at home on the track. That’s why the automaker offers a special camera holder that mounts in either the front or back of any current M-Series vehicle and trim level. The GoPro mounts securely to record your driving from the best angle possible and offers full 360-degree rotation controlled by the driver. Be sure to only use this mount on the track, as it extends out and is not safe or legal in everyday public driving.

Outdoor Car Cover

While this practical addition doesn’t add any style to your BMW, it does help preserve it. Many BMW models come with a three-ply fabric cover fitted just for that vehicle. These washable covers easily catch under the vehicle and have special pockets for mirrors and other extremities. They let air flow through while blocking out rain, dirt, dust, tree sap, pollen, and all sorts of things that are best kept off your paint job.

The Best of the Best: 3 Incredible Deep-Dish Pizza Places in Chicago

Pizza is almost universally loved and comes in as many varieties as there are people who make it. The deep-dish pizza originating from Chicago in 1943 challenged the status quo of pizza making. The basic idea is the same; cheese and sauce baked on top of dough until melted and delicious, but instead of rolling the dough flat, it’s placed in pan with high edges. This allows for even more cheese, sauce, and toppings. A far cry from the foldable, hand-held pizza slices of New York, Chicago deep-dish all but requires silverware to enjoy it. And while many critics deride deep-dish as more of a casserole and not a true pizza, they tend to agree it is delicious. Here are some of the best places in Chicago to grab a deep-dish pizza.

1. Pizzeria Uno

Located in the River North neighborhood, Pizzeria Uno is the birthplace of deep-dish pizza. In 1943, Uno’s invented deep-dish pizza making it the go-to pizza joint for tourists and native Chicagoans alike. Due to its popularity, the lines at Uno Pizzeria are always long, but the staff well is well prepared to deal with the crowds. Also, the pizza here makes for a heavy meal. In particular, customers who order the delicious sausage pizza won’t need to eat until the next day, if not longer.

2. Burt’s Place

Crust is the unsung hero of any great pizza. Burt Katz knows all the cheeses, sauces, and toppings need a worthy vehicle to deliver their flavors into hungry mouths. His pizzeria in Morton Grove, Burt’s Place, has made some of best pizzas with some of the best crust since 1989. Burt’s technique bakes the dough perfectly so that the bottom is firm and crispy, but then immediately softens to a light interior. The edge of the crust, that meets the pan, gets coated in parmesan cheese that caramelizes during baking, providing a delicious taste to an often discarded part of pizza. Burt is also the only chef at Burt’s Place so all pizzas get made by the master himself.

6 Amazing Safety Features Available on BMW Models

BMW uses intelligent safety mechanisms in all of its vehicles to help prevent injuries. The mechanisms respond to crashes within milliseconds and deliver subsequent actions from the interior to the exterior. Find out six of the best safety features available on the latest BMW models. Car buyers won’t want to drive without them.

Anti-Lock Brakes

The braking system automatically senses when the tires stop rolling during intense braking. The brake pressure will be adjusted, so the tires can move. This increases the car’s capability to turn while slowing down. In adverse conditions, this could be a life-saving technique.

Dynamic Stability Control

This feature quickly determines when the car’s handling limits have been surpassed and decreases engine power. If necessary, the stability control system will apply the brakes to assist the driver in keeping control of the automobile. It diminishes dangerous skidding on the road.

Multiple Airbags

Most cars come equipped with front and side impact airbags for the driver and passengers. They are geared toward protecting the head and torso in the event of a collision. Along with those, BMW models have overhead airbags which will shield everyone’s heads if there is a side crash or rollover. The airbag system launches the appropriate airbags at the most accurate degree, which is based on the position of the seats and severity of the impact. Standard features now include knee airbags as well.
